Temples of Sound.png

In Person Event! Temples of Sound: Interactive Sound Immersion

Sydän Aquacielos & Temples of Sound Guest Player
Friday, July 10, 6:30-7:45PM, Tickets Sliding Scale: $20-$35

Temples of Sound is a living sound practice where bodies, voices, and presence become temples. Each participant contributes to a shared field of resonance, weaving breath, tone, rhythm, and drone into a collective space of clarity, connection, and coherence.

Our bodies are living instruments, carrying memory, vibration, and power. The spaces we gather in become temples themselves, shaped by the care and attention we bring to ourselves and one another.  Our mission is to empower sovereignty — supporting people in reconnecting with themselves, each other, and life in ways that allow all beings to thrive.
These events are interactive and participatory. Instruments are shared, and you’re invited to sing or play with us — or simply be and hold presence. There is no right way. Choose your own adventure.

Our Interactive Sound Immersion is an alternative to the passive sound bath. Steady drone tones create a vibrational foundation, and your voice is invited. Singing with the drones drops participants into meditation rapidly and directly, engaging the body at a cellular level. No singing experience is needed — you cannot get it wrong. Authentic presence is the harmony.

We work with 14 crystal singing bowls, harmonium, shruti boxes, shamanic drums, breathwork to open and somatic movement at close to integrate and seal the temples.

This is community-building as healing. We come together in mutual support, honoring each person’s individual process while strengthening the collective field.

Wear comfortable clothes and bring whatever you need to be relaxed for the experience -  blanket, pillow, eye mask, etc.  We provide yoga mats but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

Rani Kathleen.jpeg

In Person Event! God Who? Walking the Path of Mystical Transformation

Rani Kathleen McLaughlin, Friday, July 17, 6:30-8:30PM, $20

What is your path to God? In her memoir Rani Kathleen provides an intimate account of her search for direct experience of God through Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Sufism.

In the beginning of the “magical mystery spiritual journey” we interpret meditation and gurus in terms of whether it meets our expectations. Am I “getting what I want?” Our own conflicts distort the teachings. Psychological dialogue offers a pathway through these obstacles.

Discovering the limitations of theological concepts of God-He, she discovered an ancient Hindu text glorifying the Goddess Devi, recognizing God-She. Rani Kathleen brings these stories of Devi alive through drumming and story-telling. Buddhist meditation and Universal Sufi teachings bring us to the Oneness of Divine Presence. Many practical suggestions are offered here, discovering who God is and who you are, as you walk the path of mystical transformation. Find yourself, let go of yourself, on this radiant path.

Rani Kathleen McLaughlin, currently a psychotherapist in private practice in Portland, was an Associate Professor at Lewis and Clark College, holding degrees from Harvard Divinity School and the California Institute of Integral Studies. She trained in Eastern and Western spirituality: Advaita Vedanta, Vipassana, Jungian depth psychology, Freudian psychoanalysis, and Universal Sufism.

In Person Event! Ancestral Roots Guided Meditation for Lineage Healing: Entering the Tree

Restore the Sacred Bond Between You and Your Bloodline

Alexander Dmytruk, Sunday, July 19, 6:30-8PM

Sliding Scale Ticket: $20–$35

Many of us know little about our ancestral landscape beyond a few generations. In this guided meditation, Entering the Tree, you'll discover that before healing can begin, connection must first be restored. Together, we'll begin reconnecting with your lineage—its strengths, its wisdom, and the patterns it's time to release.

Through quiet reflection and visualization, you'll begin developing a living relationship with your ancestral landscape while gaining a clearer understanding of the lineage that supports you. No prior meditation or ceremonial experience is necessary—just a willingness to sit quietly and turn your attention inward. The session runs approximately 45–60 minutes and includes time for sharing and reflection afterward.

This is contemplative, reflective work rather than therapy. Because exploring family and ancestry can surface real emotion, you're encouraged to move at your own pace. You're always welcome to pause, rest, or step outside at any time.

You'll leave with a deeper connection to your ancestral roots and a greater awareness of the wisdom, resilience, and support carried through your lineage, creating a foundation for continued healing, reconnection, and self-discovery.

Alexander Dmytruk is a shamanic practitioner, astral healer, and Qigong teacher based in Portland. Through his practice ASCEND, he facilitates ancestral healing, lineage restoration, and initiatory spiritual development. He is the author of Year's Kaleidoscope, a living path of soulful transformation.

In Person Event! Ancestral Roots Guided Meditation: Healing the Mother's Line

Restore the Sacred Bond Between You and Your Bloodline

Alexander Dmytruk, Sunday, July 26, 6:30-8PM. Sliding Scale Ticket: $20–$35

Many of us know little about our ancestral landscape beyond a few generations. Ancestral Roots is a guided meditation designed to help you reconnect with your lineage—its strengths, its wisdom, and the patterns it's time to release.

In this meditation, you'll explore the maternal lineage, which carries generations of feminine experience, wisdom, sacrifice, resilience, and love. Through quiet reflection and visualization, you'll deepen your connection to the maternal ancestral stream and the gifts it has carried through the generations.

You'll leave with greater emotional clarity, deeper self-understanding, and a stronger connection to your maternal ancestral lineage.
