       The monks of Tibet also know the meditative power of art.   They are known to spend hours creating intricate sand mandalas.  Once the mandala is complete, they ceremonially pour their creation into the river as an act of non-attachment and impermanence.  Whether or not we choose to save our creations or not, our minds can most certainly benefit from the practice of creating conscious art because when we slow down we can finally begin to experience all that life has to offer.  Rushing all the time will only leave us feeling lost and without purpose.  Studies have shown that those who purposefully take time to relax are actually more productive than those who insist on constantly doing.
