Buddha Power, Shakti Wisdom: Meditation & Divination for Guidance from Deities Divine

Join Laura Santi, artist, writer and meditator as she introduces Buddha Power, Shakti Wisdom, her new divination deck of 50 cards that contain a smattering of the diverse, mystical pantheon of the Buddhist and Hindu world of deities, bodhisattvas, mandalas, demons and historical figures. Begin with a short guided meditation using a tension release technique to calm the mind and spirit. Then Laura will demonstrate how the Buddha Power, Shakti Wisdom deck can be used to find inspiration about your day-to-day living, as well as a learning tool about Buddhism and Hinduism. Buddhist art is a microcosm of the world, a Cliff’s notes of culture and life. After learning the two ways to use the deck, Laura will share about Buddhist iconography and history and her traditional painting techniques. She will also have a demo set up that includes her paints, a current work in progress, and other show and tell items to help you understand this traditional artistic process.  Prints of her work will be on sale as well as the deck of cards, which she would be delighted to sign.
