When you don’t have kids, life unfolds differently than it does for parents. Portland author Kate Kaufmann (Do You Have Kids? Life When the Answer is No) explores how—from impacts on friendship, family, and spirituality to the legacies we leave behind. We’ll broach what can be a sensitive, sometimes charged topic with respect, frankness, and curiosity, bringing to light alternate routes to lives of meaning, connection, and joy. Open to all—the childless and childfree, those as yet unsure, and all who love us.  

 

Kate Kaufmann advocates for better understanding of the childless/childfree demographic. Her work has been featured on NBC’s Know Your Value, The Fine Line magazine, and in the Washington Post.
