Kirtan
Saturday, November 1, 7-8:30 pm $12
Chanting with John Conley is informal, fun and sometimes intense. Chants can take us deep into our inner stillness, but John says laughter is the most fundamental chant of all. He often sings ancient Indian chants, but is also likely to sing modern chants in English with a tinge of rock. His gatherings are about creating community and emotional healing through the power of sound and song. John says, “This is no-mistakes chanting! Meaning you cannot make a mistake. You don’t have to sing in tune or in time. Just sing!” An open heart and willingness are all that’s needed. John, the author of Letters to My Friends: A No Guarantees Guide to Awakening, loves to share the joy of chanting and regularly chants at Breitenbush. More info: www.mondaynightmeditation.com.
