This talk will be filled with Native American wisdom, stories, practices and ritual. Lewis Mehl-Madrona, MD, author of Coyote Medicine, Coyote Wisdom, Coyote Healing and his new book Narrative Medicine, will share his wisdom as a Native American healer pioneering the blending of traditional native healing with modern medical practice. We will explore how Native Americans view health and disease, who is a healer and how healing is supported. Lewis will share lessons from Native American medicine and spirituality for healing and personal growth, creating the sacred and miraculous in a richly informative experience. Lewis graduated from Stanford Medical School, then completed residencies in family medicine and psychiatry.
