The word "om" is a Sanskrit word that gives a voice to the sound of the universe's vibration. In meditation the word "om" is used to help center and clear the mind so that the whole body and mind can become more consious. Anyone familiar with Shamanic Dream by Anugama will most surely take a liking to this most recent work by Shastro. Native flutes, soft drums and ethnic percussion create an earthy, relaxed atmosphere perfect for yoga, the healing arts or just kicking back and relaxing. For something a little more contemplative, check out Shastro and Nadama’s CD, ZeNotes, where clarinet is the focal instrument instead of flute. Reviewed by Steve Fischer.
